Our Never Ending Story

First of all, there's never been a fairy tale that has surpassed ours. No, not even the one where the pumpkin turns into the magical carriage escorted by a parade of white horses. How so?

Well, to put it simply, unlike most fairy tales that have been told, ours never ends. In our story, everyday begins with "happily ever after". Each momment we spend together is more enjoyable, more enchanting, more exciting, and more, and more, and more... and this isn't new for us either. From the moment we walked into each other's lives, our entire worlds were forever changed, and that was seven years ago.

When our lives collided, it was like the most cataclismic collision intertwined with the most peaceful feeling of certainty imaginable. It was as if you finally found yourself in that perfect place you'd been waiting for, but didn't really believe would happen. Meeting each other was that perfect. It was almost too perfect, as if we were the main characters in some crazy love story. In fact, we still wonder if we might be dreaming? We even half-jokingly ask each other if the other person is real or not? Or possibly just a figment of imagination? or maybe an angel? After debating that for years, we came to this conclusion: We are truly living in a dream, we wouldn't trade it for anything, and we couldn't be more excited about the life we have in front of us. To us, its obvious. We were hand crafted to perfectly complement each other. These days, it might seem a little crazy to say, but there really is no other explanation. God simply set us apart for each other. Its just too good to be anything but.

From the very beginning, our lives flowed together like the notes in a song being played by God Himself, and quite literally.

Music was the instrument God used to orchestrate our introduction. Our lives really did come together in song. And from that moment, our relationship has been nothing less than the most amazing love song ever written.

"Ah, but you're exaggerating!" a skeptic might say ... and to him, we'd reply "If you've ever, truly, drank from love's well, you'll know love is no fable..."

You see, in our story, far more has changed than pumpkins into carriages or a frog into a prince. Worlds have been transformed, and lives revolutionized forever. Where there was emptiness, and meaninglessness, there is excitement, passion, love, and happiness. The bland, grayness that masqueraded itself as "happy", burst into a rainbow of color. We were brought to life, and that has made every moment an adventure beyond our imagination. And it is because of this experience, that to us, love is very real! Every day, our world continues to unfold, revealing new joys, experiences, laughs, and ideas. All of which are made not only possible, but that much stronger because we are in love.

And yes, we are truly in love...we are believers. Even after knowing each other for over seven years, we still spend every day trying to sweep each other off their feet! We play jokes, we tell stories, we go on adventures, and we do it all the time. In fact, just the other day, we found ourselves playing chase in yard in the middle of the night! I mean, who does that? And it certainly doesn't stop there. We still sit and talk for hours about life, art, music, the cosmos, philosophy, etc, and both of us are still captivated by the other. Its amazing! It's so crazy that we have each other!

And its these sorts of things, and feelings that let us know this love story we've been writing with our lives isn't just some fabrication. Its the real deal and nobody can erase that.

Without a doubt, God has blessed us with each other. Only our Creator, the One who knows every part of everything of all of us, could have authored and destined such a love affair as ours! No, it was not mere chance that caused us to cross paths. It was God! Undeniably! That is unless you view "chance" as the sister of Destiny, the daughter of God...then we might agree! :)

The point here is that God is the heartbeat of our relationship, the core, the unquenchable passion that has united our hearts so deeply! And we are eternally grateful. We are floored. We are amazed. We are excited. Most of all, we are honored to be at the center of one of the most amazing love stories ever being written.

And with that being said, our life story is about to add another exciting new chapter, and the first page of that chapter will be written on May 31st, 2009. So please come and share with us the joy of celebrating this new adventure of ours.
